Olaf Schlote is an independent artist, born in Bremen, Germany, in 1961. His art focuses on topics around the fundamental issue of life and death. Incorporating many artistic forms and techniques, his work is a journey that beckons people to join in it. He is interested in the flow of life, people, nature; particularly trees and roots. Using the fixed photo, he paves a path to a space beyond it, guided by his belief that life is always moving and changing and never static. It is precisely this movement he depicts in his photographs.
